Selection Criteria

Participation in the Parents for Public Schools (PPS) Parent Engagement Program is open to parents* (parents are defined as anyone who is a caregiver of children) who have or have had children in public schools or who work closely with parents and children. Participants will be selected on the basis of:

· Leadership potential

· Interest and/or active participation in schools and community

· Willingness to execute an individual leadership plan over several years

· Commitment to attend all sessions and to maintain an ongoing connection with the PPS network

Participants are selected without regard to race, color, religion, sex, disability, family status, or national origin. There is no charge for participation.

Option 1: Daytime Sessions: 9am-2pm; Meet n Greet: January 7th, Sessions: January 14th, February 11th, March 11th, April 8th, May 13th - Option 2: Evening Sessions: 5:30pm-8pm; Meet n Greet: January 7th, Sessions: January 21st, February 4th, February 18th, March 4th, March 18th, April 1st, April 22nd, May 6th, May 13th Graduation for both options: May 20th
